Medina del Campo

After leaving Madrid, we made a quick stop in Medina del Campo so the students could stretch their legs, try some Spanish tortilla (the traditional potato omelet) or their first café con leche and of course, take the first group picture on this side of the Atlantic!

The host families were waiting for us in León, all eager to meet their new hijo (son) or hija (daughter). After a quick review of our schedule for the next day and a reminder that students should anticipate not just one beso (kiss) but two from their host moms, introductions were made and the students were off with their familias (families) to begin what we hope will be the summer of their lives.
