Celebrating one "pilgrim's" journey...

On Tuesday, Nicole (a friend of IUHPFL instructor Melissa and a Spanish teacher from the University of Georgia, Athens) stopped in the to share a bit of her experience on the Camino de Santiago with our students. Having started her journey in France about the same time we departed from the U.S., Nicole recently reached the half-way mark and students were interested in hearing not only "why" she did the Camino but "how," asking her about her daily miles, the food she ate, the language she spoke, the people she met along the way and already, if she'd do it again in the future. They were inspired not only by her enthusiasm to reach the end point, but also by her extensive travel throughout Spain. Parents, don't be surprised if this is the first of MANY trips that your student will make to this beautiful country.
And if we didn't say it then, here it is now - ¡Buen camino, Nicole!
